Our overnight stop this evening is in North Platte, Nebraska at The Golden Spike Tower and Visitor Center. The tower overlooks the world’s largest rail yard (The Union Pacific Bailey Yard) which handles 10,000 rail cars a day, encompassing almost 3,000 acres and stretching for 8 miles.
